About CURENT Education Program

The Center for Ultra-wide-area Resilient Electric Energy Transmission Networks (CURENT) is an Engineering Research Center headquartered at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Department of Energy (DOE). ┬áThe education division has goals of promoting engineering at all levels. Our goals are threefold – increase elementary and middle school students interest in engineering, encourage high school students’ interest in electrical engineering and undergraduate research, and support K-12 teachers’ engineering content and practice knowledge.
